I recently celebrated my disco-themed 60th birthday at The Gold Mines Hotel, and it was absolutely fantastic! Amy and her staff were amazing — so friendly, accommodating, and easy to deal with from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and received compliments from all my guests. The venue had the perfect vibe for a fun and memorable celebration. I’m so grateful to Amy and the team for helping make the night so special. Highly recommend for any event or a great meal out!

One of the great Australian beer gardens with a good selection of craft beer. Food has improved but I don't come here to eat. Would rate it six stars if I could for the atmosphere on hot, dry Bendigo afternoons.

Loved this restaurant. The food and menu was excellent. Would highly recommend. Gorgeous rooms with a few tables and beautiful open fire in winter, really cozy and comfy atmosphere.

Love this place. Stunning gardens, beautiful food, great craft beers and simply a must go to pub. Take the kids and enjoy the scenery and the animals etc. The staff have always been great to us also!!!

Comfortable beds and a wonderful spa bath my Sister enjoyed. Very nice to rest there. Unfortunately we didn't have time to order meals, but we recommend rooms.

The Gold Mines Hotel has to be hands down one of Bendigo's best venues for a function! We held our wedding there on the 12th of April and from start to finish, Amy, the owner, was on top of it all! She really made it all go off without a hitch (except for the one important one... us getting "hitched"). From major details to the minor details, Amy was very communicative and REALLY gave it all to make it the best day/night we could have asked for! Nothing seemed like too big an ask, not even making the entire menu gluten free plus adding other dietary requirements. The food was incredible and the team that works there are friendly, professional and wonderful! Our wedding was truly special and we can't thank the team at The Gold Mines Hotel enough.

We had our wedding here in May. Communication was great with Amy and was happy to work with any ideas and float others. The team where all happy, bubbly and accomodating. Nothing was a problem including many food allergies, and more than enough food. Cocktails set the scene for a great evening, fun night had by all..

What can I say, I am absolutely in love with this place. I had my first dining experience here tonight and all I can say is wow. The atmosphere when I walked in was so beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. All the food was exceptional, I actually couldn’t stop smiling when I was eating. Cocktails? So good. Honestly the best restaurant I have ever been to. I cant wait to come back. Thank you guys for making my night amazing

Fantastic Service and Coeliac-Friendly Dining! Mum and I had dinner at the Gold Mine Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The service was brilliant—our waitress was incredibly helpful, bubbly, and nothing was too much trouble. As a coeliac, I was thrilled to learn that the kitchen caters specifically to coeliac needs, with separate fryers and pans. Every dish on the menu can be made gluten free, which is something I’ve never encountered before. From where we were seated, we could hear the chefs chatting and laughing—they sounded happy, and it gave the whole place a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff all worked really well together and created a fun, positive vibe. Totally recommend this place—we absolutely loved it!

The best place to go in Bendigo for any occasion! Especially love the courtyard out the back at night time. The fairy lights are BEAUTIFUL. Such lovely people and unreal food!!

We chose to have our wedding here in March 2025. Amy and her team have been professional, thoughtful and excellent hosts. We live overseas and the communication has been simple and easy. Guests have reported that the food was plentiful and delicious - particularly the hot chips! Reassuring hands for the big day - we would thoroughly recommend for anyone to have a celebration here.

We had a 30th Birthday Celebration here and it was fantastic, Amy was nothing but helpful and it is lovely to see an owner being so hands on and present with a business. The night was perfect. Thank you! Highly recommend such a beautiful venue.
